The enormous growth and rate of change of the Computing sector including Web, e-Commerce, Social Media, Mobile & Games technology ensures a continuing demand for graduates with contemporary computing skills and qualifications.
To meet this demand the School of Applied Computing at UWTSD offers a wide range of full-time and part-time Higher Education courses including a a portfolio of HNC/D, BSc, BEng, MComp, MEng and MSc programmes and research degrees at M.Phil. and Ph.D. level. The School also provides Taster sessions and educational Micro Computing Courses for Schools & Colleges.
The philosophy that underpins our courses is on the ‘practical application’ of theory using up-to-date and in-demand tools and techniques. This makes our courses distinct and our students more employable. The Faculty and School have been recognized for providing an excellent standard of industry relevant education.
Our Computing courses are Professionally Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS) the Chartered Institute for IT. This means our courses are recognised as being of a high standard and contribute to the requirements for our Graduates to register for the status of Chartered IT Professional (CITP).
